About | Ion Teen Science Café

Ion Teen Science Café events are a free, fun way for teens to explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Stimulating conversations with science, medicine and engineering professionals take place in an informal and relaxed setting.

This science café initiative is designed to be driven by teens. It was inspired by the adult Café Scientifique programs that have become popular throughout the world.

The Teen Science Café Network, the National Science Foundation, and NOVA ScienceNOW® provide various forms of support for the Ion Science Teen Science Café series.

Launched in 2011, the Ion Teen Science Café is an outreach initiative that was created by the Regional Life Science Foundation, Inc.  The initiative features science presentations that are designed to help facilitate discussion.

Presentations encourage easy-to-understand conversation that explores scientific topics. Events encourage open communication and attempt to build connections among scientific disciplines.

Ion Teen Science Café events are collaborative efforts that are held in Vero Beach, Florida and surrounding areas.
